The children of Doctors Specialty Hospital staff see first hand the many specialties and departments that
make a hospital run!

Just like their parents, the children dressed in sterile attire to  prepare for surgery.
The surgical microscopes were a very popular attraction.
Under the supervision of the medical staff,  the children  performed emergency surgery on a cantaloupe!

After practicing on fruits and vegetables,  the kids
thought that theywere ready to assist with spine surgery.

.

A CRNA explained the mysteries of anesthesia. However, when his daughter was asked if she wants to be a CRNA like her dad, she replied, "No way!. I want to be an artist!"

The mothers were not going to let the kids have too much fun, so
a few lectures on nursing, physical therapy, anatomy of the spine,
medical records, and billing were included.
The highlight of the visit was baking cookies for the patients and their visitors. One child said, "I'd come here anytime, if I could have chocolate chip cookies everyday!"
